Drugs that cause hair loss
Many common prescription drugs can cause hair loss, triggering the onset of baldness in men and women and even cause total hair loss. Note that the drugs included in this list does not include those used in chemotherapy and radiotherapy for cancer treatment.
Your doctor may not mention hair loss as side effects of some medications, so be sure to do your own research of the drug and read the prospectus in full. Your pharmacist can provide this information before buying a prescription.
If your doctor prescribes any of these medications, ask if there is someone who has no hair loss as a possible side effect to be replaced.
