Drugs Info: Sedative-hypnotics
The sedative-hypnotics are drugs that slow and slow body functions. Often these drugs are called tranquilizers and sleeping pills, or simply sedatives. Its effects range from calming people who experience anxiety and promote sleep. At high doses and when these drugs are abused, many of these can cause loss of consciousness and death.
There are three major categories of sedative-hypnotics. First of barbiturates such as: secobarbital (Seconal) and pentobarbital (Nembutal). Second are the banzodiacepinas such as diazepam (Valium), chlordiazepoxide (Librium) and clorazepate (Tranxene). Finally, we can cite a few sedative-hypnotics that do not correspond to any of the above two categories, these are the metaculona (Quaalude), the ethchlorvynol (GHB), chloral hydrate (Noctec) and membrobamato (Miltown).
All these drugs can be dangerous when taken in accordance with the instructions of a physician.

These drugs cause both physical and psychological dependence. Consumption through a period of time can produce tolerance, which means that consumers will feel the need to increase more and more doses to achieve the same initial effect.
